Use of personal data
When you use our online store, we obtain certain information from you. This may include personal data. We only store and use personal data that you provide directly, in connection with the service you request, or that is clearly provided to us for processing.
We use the following data for the purposes stated in this privacy statement:

Register
Certain parts of our online store require you to register first. After registration, we store the personal data you provide under your chosen username. We store this information so you don't have to re-enter it each time and so we can contact you regarding the execution of the agreement.
Access portal
Our portal provides you with access to a management environment where you can set, specify, change or delete data yourself.
Process order
When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to process it. If necessary for proper processing, we may also share your personal data with third parties. You can read more about this later in this privacy statement.
Contact form and newsletter
We offer the option to ask questions through a contact form in our online store, where you'll be asked to provide various details to process your inquiry. You choose which information you provide. The information you provide will be retained for as long as necessary to fully respond to and process your inquiry, based on the nature of the form or the content of your email, and for at least as long as legally required.
We offer a newsletter to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. Your email address will only be added to the subscriber list with your explicit consent. You can also opt out of receiving the newsletter at any time through our portal by logging in.
Publication
We do not publish your customer data.

Our online store displays generic advertisements, which do not collect personal data.

Your data may be shared with third parties if this is necessary for the proper execution of the agreement you conclude with us, by explicit instruction from you as the data subject, based on a legal obligation, or by order of a judicial or administrative authority. Remarketing
We use Google Ads Remarketing to advertise online, specifically on the Google Display Network. Ads Remarketing displays ads based on which parts of the website you've viewed by placing a cookie in your web browser. This cookie does not identify you in any way and does not provide access to your computer or mobile device. The cookie is used to tell Sweetlakecustoms.nl that "this person visited a specific page, so show them ads related to that page."
Google Ads Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to your needs and only show ads that are relevant to you.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our online store. We have a data processing agreement with Google to govern how our data is handled. Furthermore, we have not authorized Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services.

We implement security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we take the following measures:
- Access to personal data is protected with a username and password
- We use secure connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) that protect all information between you and our website when you enter personal data.
Retention periods
The personal data described above will be retained for as long as necessary to process your orders, including warranty and service provision. We will then retain the data for a maximum of two years for the statistical purposes described. The data will then be deleted unless there is a legal obligation requiring longer retention (such as the seven-year tax retention obligation for financial records, including relevant correspondence, etc.).
